Well, that came out rather nice… We just thought we’d have a little fun while getting set up to do this year’s Speakeasy forum Pipe of the Year, and finished this Dublin and #2133LB as a pair. I wanted one long taper stem and one short saddle stem for contrast, but I never expected both of them to end up showing off such excellent grain after blasting. This thing just came out amazing, with stacked rings all the way up the bowl that are highlighted in an autumn-gold/brown to really help the contrast pop.
It’s also a good pipe for those who find a lot of Ligne Bretagnes too small for their preferences. With a large chamber size and a tall bowl, these Dublins are some of the biggest bowls in the standard LB shape line. I included a comparison photo above, with this Dublin held next to a squat paneled pipe.
