"Out of Stock" messages during check-out mean that the pipe has already sold, but I have not yet updated the catalog page to reflect its "Sold" status.

Back in 2014, local pipe shop Pipe & Pint had their 16th anniversary in business, and the owner asked me to do a set of commemorative pipes for the occasion. I wanted something practical and classical, just like the shop itself, so Em and I put our heads together and came up with this tweaked variation of one of our standard Ligne Bretagne designs. The shank bands are all inscribed with "P&P" on the top and "16" on the underside.

This one is a contribution from Pipe & Pint to our "Emily surgery fund" - They've had this behind their counter for the last couple years and it's never been sold or smoked or probably even seen, but they gave it back to me so that proceeds from the sale could go towards paying Em's hospital bills. It's possible it might be the only smooth pipe from that anniversary pipe set, I can't recall, but I'm pretty sure all the rest were black blasts. I didn't want to go black smooth here but I wanted to go VERY dark... It was an attempt to push the black contrast finish to as overall dark a look as I could without actually making the briar opaque black. A bit of careful sanding brought out the underlying grain a bit so that the bird's-eye and crosscut details could be seen while still keeping the overall pipe dark.
